About Pocha Productions
Pocha Productions is an independent film company created by Christen Celaya. Pocha Productions’ mission is to engage an inter sectional feminist U.S Latinx perspective through cinematic story-telling and to empower latinx creatives and people of color at every level of production. I want to challenge audiences, regardless of gender identity, to examine what it means to see the world through a female gaze. I have spent my artistic career unpacking what the feminine voice and the feminine gaze means and I want to share the overlooked value of this gaze and inspire audiences to do so as well.
We empower women of color above and below the line and our casting achieves meaningful gender parity. Help us to even the playing field in Hollywood and deliver comedic content that shares the ridiculous realities of U.S Latinas and women of color in the United States.
